Because once upon the magic of 2011
We decided we were best friends.
Now, I've wanted a male best friend of ages.
I'm officially set.
I have my seester and my brohah.
And that moment when I asked him if it was cool if I called him my best friend...
My heart was in my throat.
Last time I had asked this, it turned out, this 'best friend' was able to ditch me.
Easily. (He came back. No worries. We're just awkward now.)
And then he replied.
He was happy I felt that way, because he did too.
So here we are.
Best friends.
This is just like an eighties movie.
So I felt like a quirky extra pop song about best friends would works justt fine.

Today, Seester and I had a talk about just how emotionally strung and in pieces my brohah is.
And he's hurting all the time.
And he masks it in the fog.
And if I could sing, I might sing this to him.
Because it's the giant blob of cover-up he's using that break my heart.
And he knows that I'll never let him fall on my watch.
While I sat there between him and his hearts desire today, I was content.
He was doing a wordsearch, and I don't think I'll ever loose that image in my head.
It was such a serene moment out of this craziness.
I'm glad I got to have the chance to witness it.
I'm your friend, never far behind.
